Roof Evaluations and Assistance With the Insurance Claim Process

  • Ask the insurance representative to make an appointment for the adjuster to inspect the roof and any other damage you have incurred at your home. The adjuster usually arrives within a week after filing the claim.
  • The insurance adjuster will call beforehand to make an appointment with you. Please write down the adjuster's name and contact details.
  • Set up the appointment and contact your Legacy Construction and Roofing representative to give him the time and date and the adjuster's contact information.
  • If the roof is determined to have storm damage during the meeting, then you will receive a check from the insurance company for a portion of the claim in most cases. The first check is due as a down payment when the job is completed. Upon completion of the installation, your Legacy representative will do a final inspection.
  • Please mention any items that need attention, if any exist. A final invoice will be faxed or mailed directly to the insurance company, and a copy will be sent to you. Upon receipt of the final insurance check, the invoice is due.
  • Please contact your Legacy Construction and Roofing representative to pick up the final check.

Payment Process

We do not require any deposits or down payment upfront. Upon completion of roof construction, Legacy Construction and Roofing will collect the first insurance check and deductible. If any depreciation is withheld from the insurance company, we will invoice the insurance company to recoup any depreciation on your behalf.

Once you've received the second/depreciation check from the insurance agency, Legacy Construction and Roofing will set a time to come and collect that check. In short, your out-of-pocket expense will not exceed your deductible, and you will not pay anything until the job is complete and you have collected your money from the insurance company.
